Reception is any family's first point of contact with the centre, and also where very different tasks pile up: logging visits, managing resident admissions and discharges, and answering day-to-day questions. When all of this depends on a notebook or on memory, something inevitably gets lost.
What tends to go unrecorded
- Visits that aren't logged with an exact time, useful for both the family and the centre itself.
- Admissions and discharges that take time to show up in the rest of the system, causing mismatches.
- Information reception needs from a resident's file, without any reason to see it in full detail.
A quick record, not an extra burden
Digitising reception shouldn't mean more time in front of a screen: it should mean that logging a visit or a resident's arrival takes seconds, and that information automatically appears wherever it's needed, without having to notify another area separately.
Access limits still apply here
Reception needs to move quickly, but doesn't need to see a resident's full clinical history. Good access profiles let reception work smoothly without accessing information that isn't relevant to their role.
At Resiges, reception has its own access profile, with what it needs for daily work and connected in real time to the rest of the centre's areas.
