A dashboard for care home management: what's worth watching

August 14, 2026

A care home's management team needs to make decisions with an overall view of the centre, not lost in the clinical detail of every resident. The problem is that, without a clear dashboard, that overall view has to be pieced together by hand, asking each area for its own data.

Indicators that add real value

  • Occupancy and available places.
  • Staff and resident incidents, aggregated by period.
  • Falls and other relevant clinical events, viewed together rather than case by case.
  • The status of backups and of active staff access.

Aggregated, not a substitute for detail

A dashboard doesn't remove the need to dig into detail when something calls for it: its job is to point out where it's worth looking. If an indicator shows a spike in incidents during a particular shift, that's where management should look closer, not across the rest of the centre that's running normally.

Data that already exists, without duplicating work

It makes sense for this dashboard to draw on the same data the team already records in its daily work — medication, incidents, staffing — without asking anyone to fill in a separate report just so management has its overview.

At Resiges, the information logged by each area of the centre is also available to management, without needing parallel systems or reports.
